(1)Notwithstanding²⁰²¹Despite²⁰²¹ any provision in this Code, the Public Prosecutor may by fiat, and on such terms and conditions as he or she²⁰²¹ thinks fit, permit any person to prosecute, on the person’s own behalf, any particular offence punishable under the Penal Code (Cap. 224)²⁰²¹1871²⁰²¹ or any other written law, or to pursue any further proceedings in such prosecution.

(2)The person to whom the fiat is granted under subsection (1) may either appear in person or by an advocate.
