Whoever navigates any vessel in a manner so rash or negligent as to endanger human life, or to be likely to cause hurt or injury to any other person, shall be punished with imprisonment for a term which may extend to 6 months²⁰⁰⁸one year²⁰⁰⁸, or with fine which may extend to $1,000 ²⁰⁰⁸$5,000²⁰⁰⁸, or with both.
