Whoever sells, lets to hire, distributes, exhibits or circulates to any person under the age of 2021 years any such obscene object as is referred to in section 292, or offers or attempts to do so, shall be punished with imprisonment for a term which may extend to 6 monthsone year, or with fine, or with both.
